Kim Sejeong Returns as the Rom-Com Queen After Two Years with Brewing Love...
"Delivering Comfort Through Yongju and Minju’s Growth"

Actress Kim Sejeong is making her return to romantic comedy after two years with ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama Brewing Love, set to premiere on November 4.

In the drama, Kim Sejeong will play the role of the energetic liquor company sales ace, "Chae Yongju," bringing a vibrant and lively energy to the screen.

Brewing Love follows the story of Yongju (Kim Sejeong), a "hyper-passionate" sales ace who hides her emotions, and Minju (played by Lee Jongwon), a "hyper-sensitive" brewery owner who can sense emotions.

Directed by Park Seon-ho (Business Proposal, Suspicious Partner) and written by rising screenwriter Lee Jungshin, the drama promises an addictive romance that has garnered early excitement.

In the released still cuts, Kim Sejeong is seen transforming into the multi-faceted Chae Yongju, capturing attention.

From putting up posters to promote her company’s beer, wielding a sickle while donning floral pants, to intensely focusing on a target, her various sides intrigue viewers and raise curiosity about her character.

Kim Sejeong described her character as "someone who was loved a lot but had to grow up fast," adding, "I wanted to express her Special Forces background through her sense of challenge and attitude."

She also mentioned that

"many aspects of Yongju remind me of my younger self," showing her deep affection for the role.

She expressed high expectations for the drama, stating, "I hope Yongju and Minju’s journey of growth will comfort people who have lost themselves while living for others."

She also hinted at the variety of episodes set against the backdrop of the liquor industry, raising excitement for what’s to come.

On reuniting with director Park Seon-ho after Business Proposal, she said, "Even though it’s a new project, it feels like returning to a beloved hometown.

I’m working hard to show a different side of myself from the previous work."

Brewing Love is not only significant as Kim Sejeong’s return to romantic comedy but also for its fresh take on a drama set in the liquor industry, a rare theme in Korean television.

The unique background of the protagonist, being a former Special Forces member, adds a distinctive twist to the traditional romantic comedy formula.

Additionally, the drama is expected to touch on themes that resonate with modern audiences.

As Kim Sejeong mentioned, it aims to comfort "those who have lost themselves while living for others," reflecting the struggles of self-realization and social responsibility that many face today.

Brewing Love is highly anticipated to showcase Kim Sejeong’s acting transformation while bringing new possibilities to the romantic comedy genre.

The first episode will air on November 4 at 10 PM on ENA, promising to captivate viewers with its heartwarming and joyful romance.
