The first set of performers includes aespa, ENHYPEN, ILLIT, INI, IVE, KATSEYE, RIIZE, TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), and ZEROBASEONE—totaling nine groups.

The ‘2024 MAMA AWARDS’ will be held over three days, starting on November 21 at LA’s Dolby Theatre, followed by two days (November 22 and 23) at Japan’s Kyocera Dome Osaka.

The performing artists for each date are as follows:

  • November 22 (Osaka): ENHYPEN, IVE, TOMORROW X TOGETHER
  • November 23 (Osaka): aespa, INI, ZEROBASEONE

The theme for the 2024 MAMA AWARDS is "BIG BLUR: What is Real?" reflecting a modern society where the lines between reality and virtuality are increasingly blurred.

The event will be broadcast live globally via Mnet and platforms like Mnet K-POP and Mnet TV’s YouTube channels.

Music industry experts have shared their thoughts on the significance of this year’s MAMA AWARDS.

One insider commented,
"The fact that this ceremony is being held in both the U.S. and Japan simultaneously demonstrates K-pop's growing global influence.
It’s also a unique opportunity to see the present and future of K-pop, as it features artists ranging from rookies to established groups."

Another expert added, "Holding the event in both LA and Osaka is proof that K-pop has become mainstream not only in Asia but also in Western markets.

The awards will likely expand the global fanbase of K-pop artists even further."

There’s also high anticipation surrounding the participation of rookie groups.

The inclusion of groups like ILLIT, KATSEYE, and RIIZE in the LA lineup suggests that the new generation of K-pop is making significant inroads into the global market.

The ‘2024 MAMA AWARDS’ is expected to reaffirm K-pop's global impact while showcasing new trends in the industry.

With the event taking place in two of the world’s largest music markets, it will further solidify K-pop's international standing.

Fans are also eagerly awaiting the announcement of additional lineups and award categories.
