K-Drama Lineup Kicking Off in August

Apple TV+ Pachinko Season 2

"Don't forget who you are
How could I?"

Based on the epic novel by Korean-American author Min Jin Lee, the Apple TV+ series Pachinko tells the story of a Korean immigrant family striving to live with dignity in a foreign land. Spanning from early 1900s Korea to 1980s Japan, it follows four generations as they put down roots and build lives for themselves.

Season 1 of Pachinko, produced in Korean, Japanese and English, received critical acclaim and numerous awards.
The original novel also saw a resurgence, climbing to the top of bestseller lists.

Given the grand scope of the novel, the drama's scale is equally impressive.
As soon as Season 1 concluded, Season 2 was officially announced, with fans eagerly awaiting news of its release. It will finally premiere in August 2024.

The main cast from Season 1, including Youn Yuh-jung, Lee Min-ho, Kim Min-ha, and Jung Eun-chae, will return. Kim Sung-kyu joins as a new face.
The story of Korean immigrant families who left their homeland in an era of oppression will continue to unfold chronologically over four generations.

Pachinko Season 2, which received worldwide acclaim for its quintessentially Korean story, will consist of 8 episodes. It will be released weekly on Apple TV+, starting Friday, August 23rd.
