Actress Seo Ye-ji has signed an exclusive contract with Sublime, the agency representing actor Song Kang-ho, marking a fresh start in her career.
Seo Ye-ji, who has been surrounded by various controversies and allegations, including gaslighting, has captured attention with her potential comeback.
On the 25th, Sublime announced through its official social media channels,
"We sincerely welcome actress Seo Ye-ji, who has joined Sublime. Please support the moments we will create together with Seo Ye-ji," along with posting her profile picture.
Earlier that day, Sublime had announced the signing of an exclusive contract with Seo Ye-ji, stating, "We plan to provide full support and efforts to create new synergies with Seo Ye-ji, who possesses a passion for acting and versatile charm."
Seo Ye-ji debuted in 2013 with the MBC sitcom 'Potato Star 2013QR3' and has appeared in dramas such as 'Lawless Lawyer', 'Save Me', and 'It’s Okay to Not Be Okay', as well as films like 'By Quantum Physics', 'Warning: Do Not Play', and 'Recalled'.
Seo Ye-ji's active career was interrupted in 2021 when she became embroiled in a controversy over gaslighting her former partner, actor Kim Jung-hyun, as well as allegations of school violence and academic forgery.
Despite denying the allegations and resuming her acting career with the drama 'Eve' the following year, she faced cold public reception, and the drama did not gain much attention.
Following the expiration of her contract with her former agency Gold Medalist last year, Seo Ye-ji had been in a hiatus with no significant activities, although she occasionally shared glimpses of her daily life on social media.
Sublime, Seo Ye-ji’s new agency, also represents notable figures such as Song Kang-ho, Ko So-young, singer and actress Tiffany, and Hani.
Recently, Hyeri also joined the agency.
